Back in the olden days when I was a kid in growing up small town America, the local hardware store had a bowl of .22 LR's up by the cashier and they sold them for 1 cent each. We'd gather up pop bottles that had deposits on them along the side of the road or do whatever we could do to get together a few cents and go buy as many we could afford. I think the first time I went in there to buy some bullets they called my Mom to see if it was alright, but after that I was good to go. I was probably 12 or 13 y.o..

It was great living in America before everything went to hell!

See what happens when a kid or someone young tries to buy spray paint. I have been carded for beer and I am a senior citizen. "I card everyone." Our local Walmart does not sell guns because they had to pay some hefty fines for screwed up paperwork.

I am not older than dirt but the rocks were bigger and there were more of them when I was a kid.

I wish I was a kid back then, now we have lawyers waiting to jump on the first occasion to sue someone. No more common sense, no more personal responsibility.

IME, it's best not to leave good decision-making to clerks

at Wal-Mart. Hell, our leaders in DC can't make decent decisions,

let alone those clowns.

I make it a point to be the only person at the counter at

the sporting goods register. I have white hair, they still ask

is this ammo for a pistol or rifle. Things to do, trying to get

on with my life, just answer "rifle". I don't get into a

conversation, pay, and leave quickly, before some moron

behind me effs things up. It's a shame that's the way things have to be...

If Walmart would try that with me I would have the store manager called and if that did not rectify the problem then I would have the police called.
