Bingo!!! The underlying Schumer universal background check bill is alive. It could be attached to must have legislation.

that is always a possiblity. if defeated out in the open, remember they might try and sneak it in on the sly. it's been done before. this why we need to stay on our toes, keep emailing, calling and writing our representatives an senators and anyone else who matters. keep trying to get more people to join the NRA or any pro-gun organization. we can win this fight, but we need huge numbers to do it.

We were just lucky today. Six votes away from a loss in my book is just a squeaker. You can't depend on the republicans and a couple of dems to come to our rescue. You have RINOS like Rep. Peter King who lives not far from me pleading to pass these bills.

It was the republicans who were the majority in the NYS Senate that passed the NY Safe Act. They sold us out in a NY minute. Colorado just passed a bill that reduces the Sheriff's power in that state, cause it's the sheriffs across the country that have the power to legally refuse to enforce the federal and state gun laws. Believe me when I say that they're like our crusaders and we can't survive this battle against the 2nd Amendment without them.

Furthermore, everyone better hope that NY's gun owners with the help of some fine lawyers can reverse the injustice done to us, cause if we don't then our loss will grow like a cancer and spread across the entire country. A gun ban by the feds has the same results as individual states banning whatever they want. It'll be like death by a thousand cuts. Please support those fighting little Mussolini in Albany and Bloomturd in NYC, cause all NYer's aren't sheeple, but we have more than our fair share.

New York voters have supported gun control politicians for over 100 years. It seems over 39 states have allowed their citizens more freedoms not less. New Yorkers to not have a Republican or Democratic issue. They have a desire to elect radical Left Wingers regardless of what they call themselves.

Most of NY's anti gunners reside in the lower end of the state in areas like NYC, Westchester County, Rockland County, Putnam County and Nassau and Suffolk Counties on LI. Those are the only counties in the state where a proclamation hadn't been made against the gun ban. NYC doesn't recognize any permits issued outside the city unless it's retired LE and that had to be forced upon them by the state not too many years ago. They live in a world of their own.

The rest of the state makes it fairly easy to obtain a ccw permit that's signed by a judge for life. People upstate love hunting and for the most part are very pro-gun, but are dummies when it comes to voting. Kinda like those in a very pro-gun state like Vermont that vote for that socialist Bernie Sanders every damn election for years. Don't worry though, cause they'll have hell to pay soon enough for their stupidity.

Yeah, upstate NYers got permits for life with no renewal fees, or safety classes, or re-qualifying, cause they never qualified to begin with. I know people upstate NY with pistol licenses who never even fired a gun. That's even simpler than what people have to go through in the so-called gun states. My friend in Vegas is retired LE and has a Fed Class III, but just recently renewed his lic. and had to take a 5hr course. That's what I call BS. I'm forced to take a $125 8hr. safety class for a non resident license in Utah even though I'm retired LE. Unfortunately for the upstaters with our new law it's ended and licenses must be renewed every 5 years, as it's been done always behind the iron curtain in the lower end of the state.

It's a pity how we all have to be painted with the same brush, because of the stupidity of those habitating in one part of the state bunched together like ants cannibalizing each other.

This was a good save but not really a win, we won 200+ years ago; what we do today is only an attempt to keep what we already have. Sadly, we get no rest cause while the rest of the country fended off the Feds (For Today), We in the state of NY had our rights stolen by the DIC (Dictator In Charge) in Albany and we didnt get the same chances as the rest of the nation did to thwart it.

As far as NYers electing the DIC's who did this to us, it wasnt NY state that did that, it was a small physical portion(<5%) containing 75% of the population. Not really different than the Federal elections were a few months ago, 7/10ths of the physical Nation voted for Romney, the population centers had the numbers to invalidate all of our votes. We will turn the clock back here but its gonna be a tough fight, we have been in it for a long time. We need all the help we can get, now that you folks have been given a reprieve in your states, do us a favor and start helping those of us less equal than our cityborn FOOGers fight back.

How do you do that you may ask? Write Andy Coumo, Chuck Schummer and Kirsten Gillibrand and tell them you wont spend a dime in NY until the Unsafe Act is stricken from the legal pages of our history. Dont bother calling NYC Republicrats, they dont care about their own citizens above the NY Mason Dixon, they wont care what you say either. Contact Remington Arms, remind them that they need more than a couple of Federal LEO and Military contracts to keep their heads above water. Check out your investment brokers and see if they are based out of NYC and if they are, tell them your changing providers for someone else out of the state.

Why would you do that? I cant say for sure but if the infection gets to stay here, it will spread to your states like whooping cough. Most states outside of NY were happy that NY offered every Welfare program you could think of because they could give their pitiful losers one way tickets here and forgetaboutthem! Now your getting your own expensive and expansive Social systems, dont forget where they started, right here in Albany, the core of the rotten apple!

Gun Control is coming to you straight from the Lips and pen of Albanizer Scrooge even if you dont live in NY. Just because you dont live her doesnt mean your safe from the Unsafe Act. Heres what The real state of NY's residents respect and enjoy-

* We respect our rights and responsibilities, the only mass Killings that happen here are in the streams, fields and forests that cover 95% of our state by outdoor enthusiasts.

* We have always enjoyed some of the most reasonable access to firearms in the nation,

* We have crafted many of the weapons that sit in your guncabinets

The safe act will have serious and harmful effects on your state you can point directly at. When weapons start flooding across the border in the trunks of cars, your states will see them show up in crime scenes in your neighborhoods, thank Andy for that. He doesnt care where they end up or who gets them as long as they arent in his State. Those of you that encourage manufacturers of firearms to come to your state will be supplying Andys Storm Troopers with firearms while denying NY citizens the same rights, your distributors will lose millions of sales to citizens, your right to conduct commerce with one of the 50 states in our union will be highly compromised. If you do sell e legal weapon to a "Known New Yorker", you may be prosecuted for doing so, federal law will support Andy not you.

My bet is that many millions of letters and calls to Washington by New Yorkers may have helped defeat the bill; will you desert us in pour hour of need because you got yours? Im not going to beg you all to do for the fine citizens of New York what we have done for our Nation every time were asked. Millions of brave young New Yorkers have participated in our Armed Forces since the Minuteman was created; I shouldnt have to beg, you know what Im saying is right!

If we are not United in our liberties, we will be divided by the lack of them; Texas may think its a Nation but if you check out Ft hood, you will find lots of NYers paying taxes, deploying to hostile environments and defending our Nation from your front yard.

I am rather too familiar with Congressman King and the TEA Party groups in the NY Tristate area.

Working with King is like swinging a tiger by the tail -- you don't really want it but you dare not let go! He's an odd, untrustworthy, inconsistent, Long Island duck.

NYC/LI is a hotbed of liberalism but it also has the most inept, naive, and deluded self-important conservative semi-organized opposition in the nation. Period. The Grass Roots "leadership" really is astro-turf. The largest TEA Party group there, which is based in central Long Island, is referred to in national circles by their reputation as "The Trailer Trash." And America is a big country to win THAT title in! They cannot learn from their mistakes and the grossly inflated active rank and file members remaining don't seem to know any better to change things either. Except for getting pats-on-the-back because donations still role in from the area I assure you that "downstate" is written off in every political aspect and always has been.

Sorry. NYC/LI is considered the same as Washington, D.C., Chicago and San Francisco except without any of the latter's positive aspects except some money. It is occupied territory or, in the case of Nassau and particularly Suffolk counties where it was lost without even a practical defense, abandoned to the Vichy. Might be time to move my friend...

This is a lesson for the nation. Stay the course!
