Default Is San Francisco County Sheriff Michael Hennessey Above The Law?

After 32 years in office, San Francisco County Sheriff Michael Hennessey believes that every common, law-abiding Californian's basic, fundamental, and enumerated civil right to self-defense does not deserve to be honored within his jurisdiction. What do you think?

Disturbing but not unbelievable...sort of expected for San Francisco quite honestly. Any town that can declare itself a haven for illegal immigrants, outlaw the Army and send Nancy Pelosi and Harry Waxmen to Congress would be expected to adopt a "laws are for thee not for me" attitude. To be honest I reside in New Jersey and see many of the same abuses of authority and infringement of 2A rights that you reference in your essay.

Glad to have you on board...an insider in the 2A fought is a good source of info...there are several CA residents on the forum that may be interested in what your organization is planning on their behalf.

If you have not already done so please drop over to the intro section and tell us a little bit about yourself...I skimmed your bio but others may net be as nosey...

I'd be moving my self, family and money out of the area. for that matter I had a cousin who used to live in North California and bugged me to come visit her and her family. I assured her that I would, just as soon as California became friendlier to CCW. They moved several years ago and have never looked back since.

I've heard that there is some awesome looking country in cali but I personally will avoid that state at all cost. There digging them selves a nice deep hole when it comes to gun and politics (break it down Poly= many, tics= blood sucking parasites...) and its going to be hell for them to get out of it. Even if the liberal yuppies running the place some how get it down to where citizens can only have hunting rifles (pray to god it never happens) the black market will still supply the criminal faction with arms.

Thanks for all of your support. The tide has turned in California 2A politics. Last year, we were able to stop all gun control bills in the State Legislature cold. And we are building upon that momentum this year with a more concerted and coordinated effort from all of the gun rights groups from within the State. It is an exciting time to be involved at restoring our fundamental civil right to self defense in CA. It won't be long before our reputation as being a lost cause for gun rights gets turned around.

Good luck with what you are doing. I am blessed to live in Florida where the environment is much more comfortable when it comes to gun ownership and carry. I can only hope California turns this way,

That is what has happened in Illinois, particularly Chicago. Just last night there were 12 shootings in Chicago. Because only the criminals have the guns. The law abiding citizens don't.

The only reason anyone is above the law in America is because we let them get away with it
