Reactivation of the '95 Assault Weapons Ban
The reactivation of the '95 Assault Weapons Ban is a major part of Senator Joseph Biden's new "crime fighting" bill. Please contact your senators and representatives at the federal level to let them know your position on this bill.
You can read Senator Biden's bill at http://biden.senate.gov/newsroom/details.cfm?id=286107&& |
This bill sounds to be worse then the '95 version. I will be a lot more like California's assault weapons laws. Do everything in your power to keep this from happening.

I'm happy to call, email and pen a letter to both of them. And I'll just get back yet another blow-off "Thank you for your views, you troglodyte" letters. (New York State has a permanent version of the old Fed AWB. All my firearms are legal, but I promised myself that should the law change and render those firearms suddenly "illegal", the so-called authorities can kiss my @$$ if they think I'm going to get rid of them or turn them in.) |
Some people never learn. The 1994 AWB was a waste of time and money. I'm sure it made a few leftists feel happy about themselves, though.
Ergh...an administration that will gladly play with people's rights in the interests of securing its own power (which is all the AWB really did) pisses me off. The fact that the yes-men who try to push this sort of trash through are generally clueless about what they ban (Remember Tucker Carlson's question to Carolyn McCarthy about barrel shrouds?) bothers me even more. |

Not just Biden but every one of the Democrat candidates are anti-gun and you can be sure will want to reenact this ridiculous ban and or another one just like it or worse.
