I don't believe Ron Paul is electable. Many of his foreign policy positions are not supported by the majority of conservatives.
IF Ron Paul realizes he can not prevail as a Republican and forms a 3 party on which to run, he will almost certainly guarantee the election of a Democrat. Ron Paul is another version of Ross Perot, who enabled the election of Bill Clinton, twice, with only 43% of the voters each time.
Where will our gun rights be with the Democrats running congress, and Hillary Clinton in the White House? If that happens, we will have the Ron Paul Kool-aid drinkers to thank for it.
By all means, support the candidate that you want in the primaries. If your guy doesn't make it, get over it and realize you are in a minority, and support whomever is running against the Dems. The guy I like will probably not prevail in the primaries either and if not I will adjust for the sake of our cause.
If we split the conservative, gun owning movement over this, we all lose!
