There are some semi-autos that were not mentioned directly.

Don't tell me that Feinstein didn't have a "catch-all" phrase.

(wasn't the M1 Garand used to assault the beaches of Normandy and Iwo Jima?)

Rest assured, if she succeeds in passing this bill, she will be coming after all semi-auto handguns next.

Rest assured that if this ban passes, they'll come for you bolt action "sniper" rifles next

why is everyone getting worked up over something that possibly will never even see the light of day? some of you make it sound as if it has already been passd and made into law!

this same knee jerk reaction is the same thing that caused the panic buying
that drove up prices on semi-auto rifles and ammo and depleted all the stock.

how many politicians are going to sign into law a bill that if they did could very well end their political career? even the Democrats are scared to pass this bill!

what this reminds me of is Chicken Little running around yelling, "the sky is falling, the sky is falling!"

She's tried this before, I think she just enjoys the publicity it gives her. There's a link on Drudge to a story about how Feinstein doesn't have enough Dem support in the Senate to get her pipedream passed, then it would have to go to the House.
If anything they will try a magizine ban and the so-called gun show loophole closed, I have my doubts about that even being passed by the House. I have been writing my Senators and Reps urging them not to support any gun control legislation, everybody should fire off some emails to those who are "SUPPOSED" to represent them.

very much so! keep the pressure on them. get more people to join the NRA or as least some pro-gun rights organization to get the message across.

with several states proposing legislature to defend our 2nd amendment rights by making it a felony for any federal agent to try and restrict our rights within those states is a huge message to Washington, what we are thinking.

Just because these proposals MAY not see the light of day dosen't mean we should sit on our hands and do nothing. Keep calling your senators and representative.

I think there's a very real chance in light of the sandy hook shootings. They've got 90% of Americans who have a poor or non existent education on guns or gun safety begging for some form of gun control reform, and their using that fact to paint Semi Auto weapons as the devil. This is exactly what Feinstein was waiting for to push her political agenda.
Never mind the fact that most people are completely ignoring the mental health side of this argument. Or that the weapons used most commonly in school shootings (such as the sandy hook incident) are not even on that list.

My plan is not to give any firearms up until this is resolved.
