Well, hmmm... I am friends with a security guard that works at a local high school and he parted info with me that the resident officer has a WASR locked up there just in case... Thank you for the post on that one.
Nearly every governmental bureauracracy has an enforcement arm. Some actually do investigative and LE tasks. Some provide physical security for the facilities utilized by these bureauracracies.
This is likey an upgrade/augmentation of existing inventories for their security personnel. Purchases like these are normally made using "Homeland Security" grants.
This does not make is right. It is still our money going through Homeland Security. I agree with the contact to the elected official.
