Default Oregon Bill Would Outlaw All New Revolvers & Impose Extreme Prison Terms

I viewed on prisonplanet (Alex Jones site forum) and Ammoland had it as well!

Oregon Bill Would Outlaw All New Revolvers & Impose Extreme Prison Terms on the Effected

Oregon --(Ammoland.com)- A new bill submitted yesterday in the Oregon legislature adds unreasonable manufacturing requirements that would have the effect of outlawing all revolvers outright.

The bill would also stipulate adding economically impossible additions to all semi auto firearms manufacturing and gunsmithing repairs.

www.leg.state.or.us/11reg/measpdf/sb0600.dir/sb0659.intro.pdf

Here’s the summary:

•Prohibits manufacturing, selling or rebuilding firearm without chamber load indicator.
•Prohibits manufacturing, selling or rebuilding semiautomatic pistol without magazine disconnect mechanism.
•Prohibits removing or disabling chamber load indicator or magazine disconnect mechanism.
•Punishes violation by maximum of one year’s imprisonment, $6,250 fine, or both. Punishes sub-sequent violations by maximum of five years’ imprisonment, $125,000 fine, or both.
•Becomes operative January 1, 2013.
Basically, it outlaws all new revolvers, and more.

How about asking your legislator why Oregon won't recognize any other State's CCW? Because next time I drive to Oregon for vacation, I WILL be carrying.

I really wish they had reciprocity with every State in the Union, perhaps then my ccw permit would be recognized elsewhere as well!

Without having even read it...let me guess, it's a Democ-RAT who introduced the Bill.

I may be wrong but does this not contradict the rulings in the Heller and McDonald cases? These regulations should not even be able to pass any preliminary reviews. Not that these lawmakers who push this crap care at all about the constitution!

I think Republicans in the legislature here are scarce as banana trees in Alaska!
