I disagree...

Even if they take the gun owner away from home, they will still serve a warrant to collect ALL prohibited items.

The only way to ensure his sons, father, brothers, or friends, do not intervene would be to treat the suspect like a terrorist, deny him his right to a phone call and council... Basically, throw him into a black hole without due process until the entire investigation is complete.

...and that kind of action would have Riflemen targeting LEOS on sight.

The State and Cops know this which is why it has not happened.

IMHO, I believe that CT Lawmakers ALL know their asses are in a sling over this and are searching for a political palatable way to unwind their stupidly before it proves to be terminal.

My guess is they will do neither and just pick away at the "Law Breakers" one at a time, bit by bit, day by day, until they put the fear of god into those that have not complied.

Going door-to-door would cause a united front of defiance and a true uprising. Picking of Joe offender here and there during traffic stops will get the job done, it will just take longer and without the United Front of an all out assault on the citizenry.

It's pretty simple really. The Deputy Sheriff, runs the plates, they come up unregistered AR owner, pull him over, arrest him or shoot him, done, on to the next traffic stop.

The first part in italics . You may be correct, but I think you are being a little over dramatic.
Joe the Offender will be pulled over and placed under arrest or shot dead on the side of the road. If he is not shot dead he will be charged and a search warrant for his house will be issued.

Joe the Offender will be offered a couple of options. 1) cooperate and tell us where the evil guns are, so we can peacefully retrieve them for proper disposal . 2) If you don't help us retrieve them peacefully we will send Joe Peterson to your house and hopefully your wife and children don't get caught it a bad situation and end up dead over a couple of "Assault" weapons.

What's it gunna be Joe? You need to make up your mind in the next few minutes as your Lawyer is on his way up. You have 30 seconds.

Now hows that for Over Dramatic, ay?

As for the part in Bold, maybe, but I don't think so. These are Democrats that have passed this legislation, Liberal Democrats, they have no connection to the Common man or to common sense. They have no fear of "asses in a sling" they are above all and all powerful. They have spoken and they expect the Laws that they pass to be carried out. They have nothing to fear over this no matter how ugly it gets, they sure as hell don't have to worry about getting re-elected. They will stay in power until They decide their reign has ended.

On the contrary... Their names, faces, and home address have been posted and if civilians are killed over this, they will have plenty to fear regardless of whether or not they are smart enough to realize it.

That's an option, but they also have unlimited taxpayer funds to pay for around the clock protection from now until dooms day.

Sure... Because everyone wants to live under armed security... Kids under armed guard... hated by the people.

If they start building g government housing compounds with schools and grocery stores for the families of politicians and Cops... I'll start to think these schmucks are serious.

Short of that, I'll stick with my current opinion that the idiots actually thought gun owners would lay down and obey them... They believed this because it's what they would do.

Sort of like the gun ban sheep who want everything banned because they can't see themselves acting responsibly with a gun and therefor believe that NO ONE is capable of acting responsibly.

It is a liberal sickness know as "transference", applying ones own psychological fears and weakness to everyone else.

Absolutely, that's why these laws are being implemented in Socialist Blue States first. Not to test the waters, but to set "the Norm" or "precedent" forcing the Red states to follow.

Well for starters have you even known of a Politicians children to attend public schools? How about the Chief of Police in a large metropolitan city, think his children attend Public schools.

These Politicians have nothing to fear and they know it. They know that the Law abiding citizens of CT will not take action against them, that's not what Lawful Gun owners do. It's what the LEO and the Politicians do and will do, but not what the Gun owners would do.

I think politicians, cops, an even you my friend, will be shocked and what MANY "formerly" LAC gun owners will do when given the choice between laying down or facing a 5 year prison sentence.

What "they" do defensively when being attacked and targeted is one thing. Going on the offensive is something else entirely.

No my friend... It really isn't.

If LEO's go on the offense to enforce this, many will choose to proactively engage them rather than waiting for the wolf to arrive upon their doorstep.

Once a fight has commenced, the lines between "honorably defending the home" and "proactively defending the home" vanish.

If coyotes are stealing your chickens while you sleep... Do you sleep in the chicken coop? Or do you ambush the coyotes and take out the pack leaders?

Those civilians pushing back with open defiance to registration are attempting the make LEO's understand this before it goes to far.

We all hope the situation resolves itself peacefully before anyone, LEO or LAC is harmed... But that choice sits squarely in the lap of CT LEO's.

My point being that the LEO will not go for an all out offensive door to door raiding spree, causing rioting in the streets and forcing the citizens to go on the Offensive.

They will pick away little by little via traffic stops and other trumped up excused to stop, shoot or arrest. It will not be reported in the news and few people will even be aware it is happening. This low and slow technique will keep the citizenry at bay and nobody will even think about going on the offensive.
