Here in wisconsin we have had open carry long long before we got concealed carry. Ive never seen anyone open carrying. I know some folks do.

I just prefer not to give up a tactical advantage by letting the goblins scope me out first. My goal is to survive and keep myself and my wife alive. I can best do that by keeping my shirt over my gun.

I like oc laws since it means i dont have to worry bout the gun peeking out now and then. Plus it means if im in a place with oc folks they get to soak up bullets first giving me a good oppurtunity to fight back safer.

No, but when you're hunting, you're pretty much expected to OC.

When I'm camping and fishing, while I'm OCing, I'm not shaking an

AK47 from a hilltop and screaming "Wolverines!".

You occasionally see Fish and Game people, sometimes at

campsites, if everybody is OCing, it's a little like a Texas Bar-B-Q.

IME, LE has been primarily concerned with traffic control, and helping

lost tourists, or assisting folks with a vehicle breakdown.

Some of the remoter fishing spots are in areas with a lot of gators

or wild boar.

In Calif open carry whether loaded or unloaded is legal only on BLM or USFS federal land.

It is best to have a state hunting license at the same time with you, so you cannot be accused of hunting without a license, even if you are not hunting.

x-Gov Reagan banned open loaded carry in the state lands in 1968.

Recent 1/1/2012 legislation banned open unloaded carry in the state lands as well.

Wyoming is such a great state, just saying...

It's legal in Utah with the stipulation that it's two actions from being fired, I prefer concealed carry, I don't think everyone needs to know I carry a gun, as long as I know it's there, I'm happy.
