Georgia, Mississippi, and Tennessee are just a few OC states that require a permit. According to Wikipedia.

Florida has a good CWPs system. I OC when fishing, hunting and camping

in south Florida, because the minute you leave town,

you're back in the food chain. Generally it's a rifle...

MI is generally open carry... but conceal license makes life a lot easier, AND opens up some of the pistol free zones to open carry with the CPL.

I do both, partially based on where I'm going or what I'm doing. I wasn't a strong OC proponent until a local forum guy talked about an incident where he open carried and it apparently changed the minds of some bad guys that were setting up a gas station robbery. That and a good friend of mine was open carrying and some neighborhood kids involved in nefarious activities saw mr 1911 on his hip and changed their behavior.

Believe me when I say, it was a lot worse than being hassled by a cop. I would have prefered that.

Here in Wyoming open carry or concealed no permit needed. I prefer concealed. A LEO can not ask you if you are armed during traffic stops etc. I prefer concealed carry. I want first strick advantage.

Kentucky.....Gold star state. Open carry is legal.

I need to say *I* carry as *I* see fit.
I'm very comfortable and represent gun owners very well as *I* see fit, open or concealed.
