Our Blue Shield monthly premiums just went up $105. a month this month. Our co-pay for some procedures went from $10. to $250. last month. I dare not write how I really feel about Obamacare.

This is a welcome step in the right direction. If the SCOTUS says this is constitutional, all bets are off. Hopefully, it won't.

Nothing will improve in the health care sector until the government is booted out of it and the taxpayer money trough with it.

I agree with that 100%. Get the Government, get the insurance companies out and let the market return to a baseline.

During open enrollment season we noticed that our Blue Shield premiums were going to go up for 2011 also. We switched to Pacific Care instead. Now out premiums are about the same as they were. I hated changing because I have almost always been with Blue Shield, but I can't afford higher premiums on my medical retirement annuity. Also, I get "NO" cost of living increase this year. The guberment is royally sticking it to us this year.........................

I sent AARP a nasty letter and dropped my membership over them backing the Obamacare bill and their anti gun stand. AARP no longer represents seniors and if you are a member, reconsider. I dont mean to hijack but they convinced a lot of seniors to vote for Obamacare.

AARP is a sham, always has been, always will be. They make money off of the number of senoirs who think being an AARP member gets them a discount on life insurance, car insurance and other benefits.

They exist to make money of of the seniors and baby boomer generation, and that is all.

Now, back to your regularly scheduled ObamaCare thread.

The dems seem open to big time changes in the bill. It may never get repealed, but the end law will probably look nothing like the current law. The government needs to get out of the business of business. Build some roads, protect our nation, but stay the hell out of people's daily lives.
