The NRA is seeing its biggest surge in contributions and new memberships ever, 8000 new members a day since the shootings in Conn. They plan a news conference on Friday...

Good for the NRA! this is where our strength as gun owners will be, in larger voting numbers than the liberal gun haters. i have mentioned several times on other posts about this, join the NRA or some type of firearms association, so that our voices will be heard.

if you were a member and let your membership lapse, then renew it, please. a huge number of gun owners represented by the NRA or like minded associations, can send a very clear message to the politicians. WE VOTE! not representing us, as a huge voting block could have a negative impact on your future as a politician. we can vot you out of office and put another in your place.

I'd like to add to that axxe, if you folks are members already, why not make a small contribution. Even small amounts help and it costs a lot of money to fight these battles.

Yes. Membership in the NRA is more important now than ever. Please do your part and either join or renew. Also get any of your shooting pals that aren't members to join.

Yes!!! And please, don't forget the GOA. They've been on the offensive since day 1.

Great idea...also be sure to check your LGS, many offer a discounted annual membership. I think one of the Midway USA sponsored TV shows on outdoors channel pays the first $10 as well...
