NRA to meet with White House
http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2013/01/08/white-house-nra-to-meet-amid-push-for-new-gun-control-laws/
well this should be interesting! I am glad the NRA is willing to participate; it would be very bad PR not to.
Here is an interesting snippit from the article:
"Before the meeting with the NRA and other gun ownership groups, Biden plans to meet Wednesday with gun safety organizations and gun violence victims' groups. Rounding out the week, Biden has also scheduled a meeting with representatives from the entertainment and video game industries"
Perfect! Only a lifetime political hack like Uncle Joe would think that he can craft a set of solutions that will make the NRA, gun violence victims, the entertainment industry and video game makers - happy.
I remember as a kid, my Dad used to say "An elephant is actually a mouse, built to Government specifications". True that!

Yes, it will likely go like the meeting for national gun free zones for schools in 1999.

Unfortunately, the NRA has to play ball if they want to look cooperative to the general public. Something along the lines of "We met with the Vice President but could not come to an understanding" is probably better in the public eye than refusing to go. Still, sounds like a huge waste of time. I seriously doubt the Obama Administration is going to hear anything the NRA says.

What is the point of meeting with them? Oh, maybe they will see they are all wrong about gun control and drop the issue. Right!

Hey., good show.
We're in a gun control battle and we take cheap shots st the NRA.
awww---geeeezzz They made the best deal they could get, but it didn't pass our test of ideological purity.
If they can't be ideologically pure we don't need them.
And we can tell our grandchildren that the NRA is the reason guns are outlawed. Right. It really wasn't our colossal stupidity.
It's okay to stab our best friend in the back if he doesn't live up to our expectations. Realistic or not.

Then entertainment industry is full of retards that think you can curve bullets and knock someone across the room with a single shot from a 45. They would get better info from the Boy Scouts!
