Yeah my son is at the perfect height, and walked into a door knob, busted the cartilage in his ear, it turned black, then purple, grey, blue, yellow, and then eventually back to flesh color over the course of about two months. The way he screamed, I know it hurt. I've had both of my ear drums busted, one of them twice, I know that hurts.

I just find it a bit humorous that someone actually wants to throw a punch to the ear!

If you think its humorous to punch someone in the ear I wonder how you would react to a boxer biting someones ear off haha

You havent heard about that!? Mike tyson has a tv series about him raising and racing pigeons. He talks about grpwing up his only friends were pigeons and he learned how to fight from beating up kids that killed his pigeons

Yeah, that had to hurt bad. Most of the times that I hurt mine, it wasn't bad enough to leave much if a bruise, but man did it hurt.

It seems like an odd place to punch someone, but UFC fighters get punched there all the time. They call it cauliflower ear. I don't know if it's that common in boxing, or any other kind of professional fighting though.
