Have you heard the Garrow interview on AJ from 1/30/2013? Some interesting comments made that, if true, might shed some light on your comments. Even if you're not a big AJ fan I'd recommend giving that one a listen.

Go to any number of other firearms sites, NRA bashing is tolerated even less. It's been my observation that this forum is more than fair in allowing members to express themselves within civilized limits. THR & The Firing Line would have ejected you for similar crap immediately.
The NRA is by no means perfect, I think most will agree to that. However they are pretty much the best thing we've got right now. You insult Lapierre and make snarky comments about his suits and his salary. Let's see, exactly what should the president of a national organization consisting of over 4.5 million members dress like? What should his salary be? IIRC, you said you were a teacher (correct me if I'm wrong.) Are you a member of the NEA? How much does the head of the the NEA make? Is his/her suit expensively tailored? Do you have any problems with his/her suit or his/her salary?

As for bashing the president, I have to ask, did you (and you circle of acquaintances) have anything positive to say about George W. Bush? How about Ronald Reagan? I suspect that in nearly all areas outside of guns, you are a typical progressive. I could be wrong, but I strongly doubt it, due to your condescending manner. Being a progressive and a teacher, you can't help but talk down to everyone who refuses to acknowledge your self evident superiority. We already know you have a problem in general with the NRA and Wayne Lapierre specifically. You make no bones about it. Yet in the same post, you complain about the majority of this forum's opinion of our current president. Are you serious?
