I purposely avoid states that don't honor KYs CCDW permits. I wanted to go to NM too.

States threatened to drop and New Mexico realized that revenue will drop from out-of-state. I would not be surprised the change of heart was money related.

Default NM Crawfishing on Reciprocity

They've backed up on their dropping of agreements. Here's how their page ended up the next day or so after the announcement that made everyone mad. It says they're conducting an audit, but haven't changed anything yet, and names the states with reciprocity.

Firearms laws in NM has been a problem for years. It seemed with their new CCW law things were getting better. NM has a very Liberal Democratic history. It was only a matter of time before they would attack the new gun laws. The gun owners of NM forced a liberal Democratic Gov. to sign the CCW bill. These same NM gun owners are "Kicking" some butts again. I think our Western neighbors will win this fight. Don't be so fast about discounting our NRA Brothers in New Mexico.

Politicians understand two things:

1.-Large blocks of voters.

2.-Money.

We have them both. All we have to do is use them.
