Thats the New York I was born and raised in! Not the one Andy of Albany is trying to sell us! The question is asked, "What will you do if we dont comply?", The Police have no answers that they will say publicly cause that would only put them at direct odds with everyone in the room and well over half the state! I know what they will do, arrest and aid the DA in prosecution- ending up with the "Perpetrator of the 2A" becoming a Felon!

While I believe its stupid to text and drive, its actually a 1A right to do so (as well as being a bit reckless)! They reclassified the activity illegal as a specifically prohibited act of "Distracted Driving", "Distraction" is a crime? Mind you, if nothing bad happened while your doing the "Illegal activity", its just another Victimless crime of financial opportunity for law enforcement and legal Pontificates'! That law has bought lots of new police cars and riot control gear for Police Stations across the state! I still think its perverse to think that a 1A right has been relegated to "only appropriate moments" as specified by law!

The Anti Gun nuts in NY have taken the same approach with the 2a! Blown right by the "Unfettered" clause and regulated another seemingly untouchable Right. Some say," You cant yell fire in a Movie Theater, its the same thing"; hogwash, its nothing like that! The act of Owning a gun in itself harms nobody, just as 99% of those talking on their cell phones arent really hurting anyone. Instead of prosecuting the 1%, they persecute the 99% who havent harmed a soul practicing their Natural Born Rights.

We need this to become the common scene across the country. It is refreshing to see that our free citizens are still willing to stand up and he heard when they know what is being done is unconstitutional. Kudos for the Sheriff for also speaking up!

Nothing good can come from that law, especially a ammunition registry. Everyone is caught up on the assault weapons registration portion of the law, but where they will really get the data they want is from the ammo tracking. By tracking caliber and quantity they already have an idea of what you are using that ammo in regardless of rifle registration.

They are trying to starve the fire by adding Oxygen! Admittedly, Coumo and gang say a 30 round Mag is enough to cause the "Giant" death tolls in these cases. Limiting access, raising prices and limiting purchase to a couple of boxes isnt going to stop anything by their own standards!
