If the exodus does happen, likely the population won't change, because as the law-abiding folk move out, the criminals will move in to replace them. That may be a good thing, since it'll concentrate the crooks all in one state.

Actually, there is only one party in "Noo Yark". Some of the politicians disguise themselves as Democrats, some as Republicans, but they all are truly sharing the same bed. The Commie Party of NY.

Well , ya know people will learn. When the serf slaves are disarmed and only the criminals are left with guns and doors are kicked in , stabbings , home invasions sky rocket as happened in great britain after their gun ban . They will then know the importance of armed self defense.
I mean by this new legislation in NY even a SKS will now be a banned weapon due to the fact it has a fixed 10rd magazine. a damn SKS ...

`My ears are ringing but I think I just heard on Fox News that this crap may be passing today. There are arguments being made right now in the assembly, but the republicans are selling out like rats deserting a sinking ship. I'm sure the school shooting that's being reported from St Louis on TV now will help them with their final pusillanimous decision to kill the 2nd amendment. New York is bi-lingual, bi-sexual and bi-polar.

I'd be willing to bet that if/when they get a gun ban pushed thru Congress that there will be a sudden halt to the school/public shootings.

Sorry, but I have to report bad news. The gun bill was passed last night in the assembly. I called the office of State Senator Kemp Hannon and was told by his secretary that Gov Cuomo forced the republicans to pass it, but she said to believe her when she says it won't effect the law abiding sheeple. I started to laugh. She was emailing to me what they passed. I told her the repubs are now finished cause they're won't be any future votes cause it just won't matter.
