I'll keep reading though
There was a discussion on that this morning on the NBC news web site, and they indicated that the special consideration of the cops would be added to the bill before Gov. Cukoo signed it.
I don't know if it had been done before the big production they made of him doing the signing.

Actually the law in NY is that you can only have a ten round mag but only put in 7 rounds. All Preban and all mags that can hold over ten rounds must be sold out of state.

The Jewish fathers probably would have felt a lot better about being shot down in a failed attempt to protect their families than they did watching their children being marched off to the "showers".

Let's also not discount the value of being inside or near high value targets; the UK, US, & Russia had to first invade; the resident Jews would have already been in a good position to launch attacks on parades, political offices, police stations, etc. The internal resistance in France did have some impact, from what i was told.
I agree it would have made it harder and they would have had a chance to defend themselves. But to say it could have prevented the Holocaust is just wrong. The Germain's dident say get on that train to get exterminated they were more clever than that it was only later in the war that people knew what was going on.

perhaps we can just agree that an armed citizenry is safer than one that is not. and that armed Jews in Germany in the 40's would have at least had the opportunity to defend themselves.

Don't forget the opportunity to carry out sabotage attacks.

I will agree that they couldn't have stopped their attempted extermination without assistance.

http://www.algraf.org/2013/01/15/graf-rails-against-flawed-gun-bill/

NY Assemblyman that voted against the bill says his daughter NY policewomen is only carrying 7 bullets now because that's the law. He says there were many other flaws and Cuomo didn't follow a good process and didn't address anything that would prevent school violence.

They didn't even exempt police! HAHAHA, that's funny right there.

I have a new conspiracy theory. This legislation was pushed by the 7 round single stack 1911 crowd as a way to effectively ban Glocks due to their magazine size.

It's true the NYPD just put in for an amendment for active and retired Law Enforcement Officers.

Gov's Office said due to speed of enactment some things were overlooked due to the size and complexity of the new Law.

The hits just keep coming, Unbelievable.....

The Republicans have leverage to undo their mistakes.

Sure, we'll clean up the LE & miltary exemption and other clean ups, but the 7-round thing and registration and selling your old magazines all has to go too because that was really stupid as well just like the other stupid mistakes that were rushed through.
