Default New spin on gun buy-back program

This does nothing to improve my opinion of humanity. But for a laugh, here ya go:

Urban Gun Buyback Targets Nerf Guns

September 8, 2011

From the "They can't really be this stupid - can they?" category, an urban anti-violence group in Buffalo, NY conducted a gun "buyback" - targeting Nerf guns. Yes, Nerf guns - the spring-loaded children's toys that fire harmless, spongy little projectiles.

Seems that these simpletons believe that "a toy gun today" invariably leads to a "real gun tomorrow."

One parent said that if the kids have Nerf guns, "Then there's no fear holding the real gun when they get older. We want to put that fear back into our children."

Fear? How about putting some responsibility and discipline into your children instead, so they can responsibly handle guns to defend their freedom when they get older?

Our freedom was bequeathed to us by our Founders, who fought an armed revolution against the British to secure it. James Madison, who wrote in Federalist #46 that Americans have "the advantage of being armed, which [they] possess over the people of almost every other nation" must be rolling in his grave.

Who knew that the Daisy BB gun and them dart guns I had as a child would eventually lead me down the dark corridors of firearm ownership, their lifelong use and enjoyment and eventually into the military for live, real world use.

Oh, I should feel so dirty and ashamed....but damn secure!

The last time they had a buy back in Tucson, I took 7 rusted old POS garbage things that I had acquired over the years...stuff like a junk RG revolver from the evidence room (we used to be able to buy things before they went to auction in a "bag-of-guns" , you'd pay $50 and literally get a bag of guns, you never knew what you'd get). Anyway...I had some of the junk around, for which I got $50 each....$350. Another $50 from my pocket, and I bought another new Glock with my LE discount....hehehehehehehehe.

I thought that was fitting that I recycled leftovers from the bags o guns into a spankin' new Glock. That's ecologically sound right?

I agree there, im the 2nd oldest of 5 children in my family. Half the things my little brother and sister do and get away with these days we would have been punished for. Parents have gotten softer on the dicipline and having kids respect them part. Whats the world coming too?

Get her dirty, then clean her so she starts to respect you. When her trust is complete, she will serve you well for a lifetime!
