Default New Jersey law and the "smart gun"

Here is an article about the smart gun law in NJ. It states that once a smart gun enters commerce in NJ, over a period of time, all non smart guns will disappear from the market. Never heard that before. This is a pretty well known author of firearms related articles.

They passed the law years avaio but no one cared because the technolog did not edexest yet so it was a nine ishue. Know that its here we need to fight it. Because its a unreasonable burden on gun owners. Personally I would end tuch one of theirs smart guns unital law enforcement and the secret service starts using them.

hmm, I just been thinking.

Why not try the easy way?

Send Armatix USA a letter, asking some specific questions regarding self defence with the IP1?

- Is the IP1 Smart Gun including the IW1 Watch recomended for use as a self defence firearm?

- What disadvantages could occur when using the IP1 combined with the IW1 watch in as a self defence weapon?

- Will the IP1 still be able to fire, if the owner has to transition to his other arm, for instance due to injury or shooting out of cover from a different angle?

- If the IP1 is taken away from the rightfull owner in a wrestle and it is deactivated as always mentioned, what happens if th erightfull owner get`s the firearm back again, will it be activated automatically when in reach if the IW1 watch or must the owner reenter the PIN to reactivate the IP1?

- If the IP1 is automatically reactivated, how long will it take for the IP1 to reactivate?

- If the IP1 is not reactivated automatically, how long does it take, in a stress situation, to reenter the PIN and reactivate the IP1?

Interesting that Government wants to assign human characteristics to firearms at the same time they remove them from the humans. They are going to try to create a weapon with half a brain to thwart humans lacking a socially acceptable one! That will work perfect!.

Rube Goldberg would have love the challenge of taking one of the simplest and most reliable mechanisms ever invented and turning it into a Cluster Phuck with 20+ points of possible failure for no good reason. So, if the Safe gun shoots someone who didnt deserve to be shot, is the gun or manufacturer going to jail or the owner/ operator?

Weve tried 1000 times to make things secure from criminal abuse with technology and failed nearly every time because ther is always someone out their to design a workaround. Back 25 years ago when they secured cable boxes with Tri-mode scrambling, we just added a couple diodes and clipped a couple and a $100 cable box became a broadband descambler for about 50 cents worth of parts. Another trick that folks have found to disrupt techno-normalcy is RF, IF and IR burst generators. All of the sudden, nobody can shoot their smart gun and it becomes a duck shoot for those carrying a non smart gun! The person that developed the round key locking system used today in lots of systems never figured the crook would take a piece of cardboard, shove it in the opening and their million dollar design could be defeated in less than 20 seconds with garbage. Mcgyver's are everywhere, dont fool yourself thinking high tech means high security!

Hell, back in my TOW missile days, we defeated the super high tech MILES IR 6 Missile Load limit on our systems via lick and stick! Unplug the main bulk connector to The MCS, lick your finger, rub it on the pins and all the sudden, youve got 6 more missiles, if ypu didnt put a blast simulator in the tube, you can shoot all day and nobody knows who's doing it! A little Vaseline on the IR Pickups of your web and helmet sensors and you became a god soldier that nobody could kill! Cut the guide pin off the generic yellow arming key and it became a green god key instantly! Pop your finger on and off the percussion sensor on an m16 laser and you can shoot all day without getting your weapon dirty or giving away your position. A piece of WD Wire would fire a M60 autogettum and you never had to pull the trigger or make a noise doing it!

I dont think their was a single piece of miles gear that we didnt identify some workaround for. So that was a laser tag system and were talking about real guns with real bullets! The US Military paid hundreds of millions of dollars for the prototype MILES system. It was key to training and evaluation in preparation for war and the determination of Mission Capability of a unit. All it took was a couple Chunchies, some spit, butt lube and nail clippers to defeat most of its smarter capabilities. How long is it gonna take a criminal to figure out all he has to do is carry an AM FM Radio tuned to 82.5 MHz to defeat the Smart gun?
