DefaultNew Jersey to ban ammo?

A bill in committee in New Jersey looks to go after the 2A by banning ammo. The sneaky thing is that the bill does not do it, it gives the state Attorney General the power to determine if a particular round/caliber is a threat to the police. It claims to be aimed at handguns, but with many handgns being made that chamber common usually rifle rounds it could be aimed at those as well. Sorry times in Joisey.

This will be interesting to follow. I wonder what Cris Cristie will do or say. If he is supposed to be the next great Republican it will be interesting to see if he believes in the 2nd Amendment or not.
Also if the sheep in Jersey will just go along with it as they usually do.

This amendment died in committee on Monday and has been withdrawn from consideration....Public Safety Committee members were calling 2A advocacy groups begging them to ask their members to stop calling, faxing and e-mailing. Guess they got the message.

Lots saying NJ is the armpit of America. But watch what happens there very carefully because the same thing may be coming to your state in the not too distant future. I grew up in Joisy and it was a great place to live. I lived outside of Princeton in the county and you could not built on less than a 1 acre lot. Lots of farmland and woods around. Great hunting and fishing. I can still picture our "crew" of about 15 neighbors walking down the road headed for a pond where we liked to do some shooting. 15 kids walking down the road with guns (mostly 22s). Can you imagine what would happen if 15 kids did that in NJ today. I think as a minimum, it would result in mobilization of the National Guard. And during hunting season one would see lots of pickups with guns hanging from racks in the back windows. Lots of those guns went in the school and locked up in one's locker. The Rod & Gun club met on Fridays and there were always bunches of firearms brought to school for the club meeting. Things really went to xhzc in NJ since then. No more freedoms. An old friend who still lives there asked me to get some ball ammo for his slingshot and a new rubber. Seems that even slingshots and parts are now illegal to have there. Amazing. What is this country coming to. Looks like a 3rd world socialist dictatorship in the making. Glad I am a longtime "from" NJ. Left in 1965 and have never gone back.

Score one for Jersey. Man, that sounds weird. What's next? Illinois going to tell their puppet masters they can't ban semi-auto's?
