Rember this is a "conditional" argument. The key words are "if" and "then."

So by your logic, if 2/3s of all legislators thought that Blacks, and Jews should be exterminated from the face of the earth, it should happen, and we should just except it. Why does that sound familiar?
It has also been proven time and time again that the majority of the PEOPLE do not want more gun control. The legislators are going against what their people want. They are going after what they want.

Every wholesaler in the country canceled there S&W orders. Dealers could not get them and most customers did not want them.
If Walmart endorses ANY gun control the Nations wholesalers will stop filling there orders...period.

Just what Walmart needs. One more reason for people to flip them the bird as they drive by to someone else. The tough part will be getting people to actually do it.

To all those who think we have a republic or a democracy, I want to know where y'all have been for the past several decades or so?
America and America's political offices are for sale to the highest bidder. Morality, devotion to the people, and upholding the constitution are "antiquated" ideas of those who bitterly cling to the principles that made this country a place worth fighting for. Now we have party ideology, financially expedient, and criminally negligent clowns running the show.
The worst part of it is that we did it to ourselves. Voting for anyone with a "D" or a "R" next to their name is a vote to continue the policies that are bleeding us dry financially and corrupting the virtue and morality of our actions as individuals and as a nation.
Our founders fought the most powerful army on earth over a relatively minor taxation increase. Our supreme courts had to inform the IRS that they could not levy more than 100% tax on a dead man's estate.
Our government starts unfunded and unsactioned wars overseas and has written laws that permit indefinite detention without charge, legal murder of American citizens by the government, and intercepts virtually all electronic communication for purposes of spying on everyone (by which, I mean EVERYONE, American, Ethiopian, east outer Mongolian, freakin everyone). The level of fear and paranoia that our government has of its own people is sufficient that I wouldn't trust them to run a whore house in Vegas (almost forgot, it wasn't smart enough to successfully run that outfit).
How much more proof that our government does not work for us would be required for righteous action to correct the bad behavior?
