Only thing is I get SSI, but I'm not my own payee. I've received it since I was a child and never took my grandmom off as the payee and even though she wants me to be my own payee, I have to go through all this bs with social security to get it in my name, I have to have a psychiatrist sign a paper. I don't know if any of that would show up, but that was my main concern.

As long as you haven't been hospitalized/institutionalized you should be fine.

cool thanks. Hmm hospitalized, does that count if I was sent somewhere as a minor by my grandmother? No court was involved.

Idk. That's a tough one. Being a minor may make all the difference. I would say you would have to answer yes and then explain you were a minor etc. You might want to pay for your records and see If it comes up and then either ask a lawyer or the atf.

For question 11 f I have a question about because I was recently diagnosed with ocd depression and anxiety and am actually being medically retired from the marine corps because of it. Does this make me unfit to purchase a gun? I haven't been committed to an institution or deemed a danger to anyone or myself.

I would say no. I believe you must be hospitalized. Not that I'm a lawyer.
I have ptsd and a class a ltc.
