My response from sen bill nelson

Dear Mr. Jablonske:

Thank you for contacting me about policy proposals that seek to reduce gun violence in the wake of the tragedy in Newtown.

I am a hunter and have always owned guns, and I support the Second Amendment.

But assault weapons such as AK 47s are intended for killing, not hunting.

Solutions for reducing gun violence must address many areas, from protecting law enforcement and keeping weapons out of the hands of criminals, to school safety, access to mental health services, and confronting a culture that sometimes glorifies violence.

I support reinstating the assault weapons ban and restoring the 10-round limit for ammunition magazines. And, I support universal background checks so that we can know if person buying a weapon has a criminal record.

I appreciate hearing your views on this very important issue, and I will keep them in mind. Please do not hesitate to contact me in the future.

Bill Nelson

P.S. From time to time, I compile electronic news briefs highlighting key issues and hot topics of particular importance to Floridians. If you'd like to receive these e-briefs, visit my Web site and sign up for them at

Does he not support the part of the second amendment that recognizes our right to an armed self-defense? (from people, not just bears or other angry woodland creatures)

Is he a "true" Democrat?
The type that believes in the preamble of the Democratic Party Charter?
The type that puts majority opinion over his own?

The type that puts a survey out and then goes along the wishes of the majority as long as it does not violate our Bill of Rights?

Or is he a Republican in disguise and believes that one man (him) knows what is best for the majority?

This is taken directly from the Preamble of the Democratic Party Charter he proclaims to believe in:
"we acknowledge that a political party which wishes to lead must listen to those it would lead"

What the hell does the 2A have to do with hunting?!?!?!?!
And why would making a law that punishes people that have not broken the law stop people that do break the law????
I support that guys job termination, other than that ....nothing.

He should be fired...From a cannon..Into the sun!

Ask him about all the Democrats shooting each other in the Obama dominated cities. The only two major cities the Republicans won were Jacksonville, FL and Salt Lake City. All the other ones are dominated by Democrats, gangs, and gang killings with handguns. Not rifles.

It plays well to the sheeple. Today's Finkenstein circus the dems pleaded with hunters to join their cause. Another divide and conquer tactic. Hunters with single shot shotguns are good, non hunters with their black, scary, assault weapons are bad.

Ask him if he's ever studied the FBI uniform crime reports from 1994 to 2004.

Ask him if he ever read the CDC study of the effectiveness of Klinton AWB.

Ask him if he read the majority opinion in "Heller v District of Columbia"

Ask him if he's ever read any quotations from Fleet Admiral Isaroku Yamamoto.

And ask him if he ever read the U.S. Constitution.
