If it really bothers you, buy from individuals (legally). I have a few firearms that i have been gifted by family or bought from individuals. If it seems shady, pass or have the serial number run by the local police.

Everyone is on some list or other, If you buy some firearm through a legal dealer then I would bet that some place there is a list. It may not be a legal list but sense when has any anti-gun/anti rights terror-ist evet cared about the law.

I'd rather my own son see me die on my feet as a free man, than watch him go, broken, into slavery.

Canebrake don't scare me like that, I have a funny looking helicopter shaped shadow passing over my window, and everytime I look it turns out to be a potted plant. My wife is getting aggravated at the paranoia.

"On a list, on a list!"

Ooooohh!

Most people compile a list, then it sits in a

filing cabinet and never gets used.

What, exactly, is the function of this

long, and rather useless, list??

ie, what are they doing with it, besides wasting

work time compiling it, and then storing it?

How will they keep it accurate and up-to-date?

Default If you purchased a gun you're on "the" list. Anyone telling you different is lying or

There is no "list".A dealer has to keep his 4473's for 20 years.when you do a NICS call in you are only supplying info as to if the firearm is a handgun, long gun or other. After 24 hrs the nics info is deleted. Many think that owning a firearm makes them a "dark shadowy character" but most firearm owners are not nearly "bad" enough to set off any alarms.Law enforcement knows what dealer receives a firearm from the serial number.I have had to supply a copy of a 4473 to law enforcement to start a trail to finding out who has possession of a firearm but no "list".
