Now the question is, is the OP a Republican against Romney or an Obama fan stirring up trouble?

Not a spammer and definitely not an Obama fan. Not even that much of a Gingrich fan...but a friend forwarded me the video and I wanted to make sure people knew about Romney's real 2A record since hardly anybody is talking about it.

I think the fact of WHERE he's from speaks for itself.

When you get a chance, stop by the intro thread and say hey!!

Romney got together with the so called gun advocates of MA and they came up with a plan. In exchange for a few minor changes in the gun licensing system (crumbs) the gun advocates agreed to a permanent "assault weapons" ban. The antis just love it.

Never before has there been such bi-partisan cooperation in the passage of gun safety legislation of this magnitude in this nation, said John Rosenthal, co-founder and chair of Stop Handgun Violence. "I applaud the leadership of the Governor, Senate President, House Speaker and entire Legislature for passage of this assault weapons ban renewal. They have shown that Massachusetts can continue to lead the nation in protecting the public and law enforcement from military style assault weapons".

I like most of Ron Pauls positions but the man is incapable of speaking without coming off as a dischevelled malcontent whinney little joker.

Honestly I think he's building a platform for his son Rand to run on in 8 to 12 years after the country sees the next Rino president do the same retarded stuff BO is doing now.

I agree. Paul isnt the answer. He has the right stance on a few issues but he is more than happy for the country to take a sideline stance when it comes to world trade issues. Isolationists are just as damning to a nation as national socialists like romney obama gingrich and santorum.

This election much like the last one is one that no matter which clownshoe wins the nation loses.

I saw the op had only one post but its a good discussion topic. Long as it doesnt get out of control

Not trying to make any trouble, just wanted to start a discussion...that's all. The issue hasn't been talked about enough, and having seen Romney firsthand, I wanted to make sure people knew about his record in MA. He did some good things, but a defender of the 2A he is not.

Having said that, Obama is the worst of them all...so he needs to be beaten. For me, Romney is not the answer, I just don't know who is at this point...not a great group to choose from I'm afraid.

Again, didn't mean to cause any trouble. Just wanted to spark a discussion among some fellow 2A defenders.

Anybody remember Duncan Hunter from back in '08? He was the only one that ever made sense, so naturally he went nowhere. Wish John Wayne could run...

Our current choices are hard to get excited about but we must all pull together behind the eventual nominee regardless of our differences for one very important reason.

We currently enjoy a 1 judge pro 2a majority in the Supreme Court. The next POTUS will appoint at least 1, more likely 2 new Justices. We've seen BO put up two rabidly anti 2a Judges to replace the 2 that retired keeping the score the same.

Even Bush, the Rino that was, still appointed Alito who has ruled pro 2a every time.

Any of the R's would appoint better Justices than the current POS, I mean POTUS.

We don't know what Newt or Mitt might do. But we know that Obama has done nothing in three years in the White House to curtail your ability to own firearms............
