I respond when people come on this site and ask. Other than that, you better be a friend if a friend. I don't debate anymore, I just walk away from those people. I don't even care to know them.

I carry/own a gun because it is my right as an American to bear arms.
Some people just don't believe in the Constitution.

I agree, take some noobs shooting.
Bring mostly .22 caliber. For most of them, it will be
like a much larger caliber, for us, because it'll be the first
time out. Nothing makes an "anti" a "shooter" better than a good
day at the range...

Yep, give them good solid safety instruction, show them the basics, watch them like a hawk and let them shoot. Once they realize how much fun it is, their attitude starts to soften. I've seen it happen.
The problem is getting them there.

That is exactly how it went with me.

I was walking back to our hotel room with my then 9 year old son. We were crossing a parking lot at a car wash in the dark. We only had to walk a couple hundred yards. We had gone to a 7-11 to get some pop. We hear a loud angry yell. We stopped in shock. Looking around we saw nothing. We walked a couple more paces and heard it again. Then a man jumped from the darkness. He was over 6 feet tall but was exrtemely skinny. He had drug addict written all over him. He pointed at us and yelled, "You, come here!" We turned and headed for the hotel. He started running after us. My son froze in place with fear. I pushed him along. I shoved him around the corner by the car wash building. He said "Dad I am scared". He wouldnt move. I turned and prepaired to draw. I said in a loud voice, "It is ok I have my gun". He stopped following us. He did not come around the corner. If he had I would have put two in his chest.
That is why I carry a gun!
