Default Mcdonalds/dunkin donuts & 2nd Amend.

Both are taking a neutral stand. Follow the Federal and State laws. I think this is a smart business stand. If you are allowed to according to the law, then no problem. As far as Starbucks, they should have just asked not to hold political rallies at their place of business. Anybody can understand that. I would not want my business interrupted either. Not, we do not welcome guns in our establishment. Jerk knee reactions get you in worse trouble.

Corporations have been been judged by the Supreme Court to have a right to free speech, just as does the individual. Any business who has the desire to risk their business over political issues has that right, on either side of the current debate.

These large entities spend millions of dollars deciding what "policies" will sell more Lattes or burgers. That is part of the magic of marketing. They know that they will please some of their customers or potential customers and repel others. They make decisions based on the bottom line, not some moral philosophy. While Corporations have the right of expression, they lack human qualities of introspection and the sense of right and wrong. They only worship the bottom line.

I would bet the food at McDonald's kills far more people each year than guns....

The neutral ground is the smart business stance. I don't blame Starbucks, they said the rallies were driving away customers.

I did not take too much offense to Starbucks because they just made a statement but also advised they would not enforce it or advised their employees not to enforce it. And did make regerence to the second ammendment! Bottom line the statement regarding not allowing weapons in their store means nothing! But falsely letting the anti-gun idiots think they won! "NOT"! We actually did in my opinion! "No Enforcement!"

There is a Sam's in Atlanta that has a WalMart in it and a Starbucks in that WalMart in that Sam's.
