Default Mark Kelly's 'intent'

Gun store rescinds Mark Kelly's rifle purchase, questions his 'intent'

Quote:
While I support and respect Mark Kelly's 2nd Amendment rights to purchase, possess, and use firearms in a safe and responsible manner, his recent statements to the media made it clear that his intent in purchasing the Sig Sauer M400 5.56mm rifle from us was for reasons other then for his personal use," MacKinlay said in the statement.

I call that a victory.

How is his purchase not a straw purchase? He clearly states he is not buying it for himself?

It was a shrewd decision by MacKinlay, the gun store owner, and a fitting response to Kelly's publicity stunt. I understand Kelly's motivation. If you can't get your hands around the neck of the guy who shot your wife you're going to lash out in any direction you can. Clearly this is one astronaut who is still Lost in Space.

I read that this morning, kudos to the shop owner for denying that hypocrisy. Kelly now needs to just shutup and go away, he's already blown it and lost all credibility.

I'm sorta surprised no one's on this yet: OK, I don't know how to post a link, but go to NEWSER, and there's a story about how the gun shop owner won't sell him the AR after all.

IF true, good for the shop owner. Sounds like an AR may not be so easy to get after all......

Come on, Kelly was buying the gun for himself, then made up a lie when he publically got caught with his hand in the cookie jar.
