Have fun with that. Let it lapse and you're screwed.
I recommend moving.

Just one more way that the antis are trying to make it harder and harder to own firearms hoping people will decide that it's just not worth the trouble.

I have to have at least a million in insurance in Germany as a hunter. I only pay about 100€ for 3 years though. Not very many accidents or loss/stolen weapons occur over here.

What's next? Insurance to exercise free speech? How about insurance to exercise my 3A rights("protection money" to prevent soldiers from being quartered in my home without my permission)? When does it end? BOHICA!

why is it people always assume that moving is the solution? First off who can sell a house in rural NY right now banks aren't cooperating but thats not the issue. How far do you move? how many times do you back down? We know you can't move to the west coast or even colorado now. Moving is not the solution thats why Americans met on lexington Green. They weren't moving any further. This is MY HOME, my child was raised here, all of my relatives are buried here. So I should just pack up and leave? Phukem, make the bastards in NYC and Albany leave, move, go back to their slum-city on the hudson. This is my home. My tax money is buying M-1 tanks and F-16 fighters for the Muslim Brotherhood and I am a felon for wanting to own an AR-15! What the hell is wrong with this country?

Firearm ownership is not a privilege, it is a right. Politicians should be required to carry malpractice insurance.

No crap Bigcountry! Knowing DHS I wouldn't put it past them to charge protection money, I mean liability insurance, to exercise our 3A rights to keep from quartering them in our homes. Anyone introducing this kind of trash should be kicked out of office for treasonous behavior and wasting tax dollars.

Has anyone thought to check with the insurance industry to see if they're even willing to write a policy "COVERING ANY DAMAGES RESULTING FROM ANY NEGLIGENT OR WILLFUL ACTS INVOLVING THE USE OF SUCH FIREARM WHILE IT IS OWNED BY SUCH PERSON".

I'm betting that no insurance company would touch a policy like that!
