Default Man faces life in prison for filming police

I hope this doesn't count as political. I'm still a somewhat new member, for I'll take this down if not appropriate for this forum. Having said that ....

THIS INFURIATES ME! I'm wondering if there are any LEO's in here that have comments one way or another.

I just find the whole thing mind-boggling.
Where would he be sent to if found guilty?
Siberia? It appears and not only in politics,
but in every aspect of American society, the dregs
once at the bottom have risen to the top, and
now occupy influential levels of power.

I have a feeling I'm going to be asking a dump question.
In Illinois would you be able to video tape someone without audio, thus not breaking the wire tap law?
