LAPD is corrupt. No doubt. The OJ trial brought that to light. What does the media do about police corruption? They hire Mark Ferman to be a paid correspondent.

Planting evidence has gone on for years on the lapd watch. Now the thugs running the show wants to spend one million dollars to shut this guy up.

Google Rampart Scandal.

There are a lot of discussions about it. Corruption is a much bigger issue than is commonly discussed. Why? Because its your word (suspected drug dealer, rapist, assaulter, etc) vs. the word of an LAPD officers. You will lose almost every time (and this isnt just in the LAPD).

Not all departments suffer from it as horribly as NYPD and LAPD do, or are accused of, but its foolish to think there is no corruption or that it will always come out. You were a LEO werent you? You dont have to admit it in public, but you know as well as evetyone else that the bigger the dept, the more problems that arise.

Certain cities become notorious for it, and it isnt just because they can be...

^^^^ It's just like anything else. The bigger and more complex, the more potential for things to go wrong.

There's no question that there is corruption in LAPD, but I think I would need some solid evidence to believe that it's even 1/10 as bad as some of the cop-haters here are trying to make it out.

I listened to an interview with a clinical psychologist earler today. His professional opinion is that Dorner is an extreme, violent narcissist. He was kicked off of his H.S. football for fighting, kicked out of H.S for fighting, had severe problems in the vmilitary and at work.

IOW, he DOES NOT have legitimate grievance, or a "statement" to make. He's just a piece of SH!T. And I find it personally insulting that some here are trying make excuses for this "thing." It's not even a man. It's a back shooting coward.
