Done. And Done. I am sure my Demo-Kommies will disregard it as well, but at least it will annoy them a little more.

I've given up on contacting the reps for my district although I admit it somewhat shamefully. But after years of no response or the occasional standard form response, it's not worth my time. It's certainly not worth the continual agitation we are forced to live with.

I pick my battles now. It keeps me a touch more sane and allows me to concentrate on caring for my wife and living a decent life in spite of living behind the razorwire.

In the last election I supported Carly Fiorina as best I could to unseat Boxer, but the sociocrats just flat out have us outnumbered. They reelected Jerry Brown for crying out loud!

After more than thirty years here, I can see that California is beyond repair. That is why we will leave and return to America when we can.

I appreciate you contacting me about this important issue. As this nomination comes before me, I will be sure to keep your views in mind. Please do not hesitate to contact me again if I can be of further assistance.

I don't think Tester is much of an advocate of firearms rights, but he likes to stick his name on stuff that Baucus sets up just in time to claim credit for helping.

Baucus is a MUCH better defender of the 2nd amendment, but alas I can never vote for him again. Not after the way he flatly ignored the overwhelming number of his constituents that were demanding for him to drop the Oboma Care crap!

I just got a response:
*
Thank you for contacting me regarding*Andrew Traver, President Obama's nominee to serve as*Director of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (BATFE).**I am glad to have the benefit of your views on this issue.
*
Since coming to Congress in 1995, I have been a strong and consistent defender of the Second Amendment.**I have opposed efforts to impose gun restrictions on law-abiding citizens, and I do not feel more gun control laws are the answer to the problems confronting our nation.**I believe tougher enforcement of existing laws is a more effective means of addressing crime.
*
As you know, the Senate has the Constitutional obligation to provide the President with "advice and consent" on Executive and Judicial Branch nominations.* I take this*responsibility*very seriously and*appreciate your thoughts on*his nomination.*
*
Be assured I will keep your views in mind as the confirmation process continues.*Please feel free to contact me if I can ever be of assistance.*
*
With best wishes, I am

************Sincerely yours,

************Roger F.Wicker

Here is the response from the socialist gun grabber Menendez.

Dear Mr.Pandamonium

Thank you for contacting me to express your opposition to President Obama's nomination of Andrew Traver to be Director of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) in the Department of Justice. Your opinion is very important to me, and I acknowledge your concerns about this critical issue.

As you may know, Mr. Traver is currently the Special Agent in Charge of the Chicago Field Division of ATF. In this position, he has overseen all investigations involving the illicit use and trafficking of firearms and explosives and directed all ATF law enforcement programs within the state of Illinois.

Mr. Traver joined ATF in 1987 as a special agent in the Chicago Field Division. With over twenty years of experience with ATF, Mr. Traver has served in several capacities, including group supervisor as well as criminal investigator.

I am currently reviewing Mr. Traver's qualifications for this position, so please be assured that I will keep your views in mind. As your United States Senator, I rely on the important communications I receive from my constituents to guide my work in Washington. I am working diligently everyday to respond to the many valuable insights I receive from New Jerseyans just like you.

Again, thank you for sharing your thoughts with me. I invite you to visit my website (Robert Menendez - US Senator for New Jersey: Home) to learn more about how I am standing up for New Jersey families in the United States Senate.

He's an effin Traver cheerleader!!!

Just got this reply from Sen. Pat Roberts

Thank you for your letter regarding the nomination of Andrew Traver. I appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts with me.

In January, President Barack Obama renominated Mr. Traver to be Director of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) after the Senate returned his nomination to the White House at the close of the 111th Congress. The nomination awaits further consideration before the Senate Judiciary Committee. The ATF is the lead federal law enforcement agency responsible for administering and enforcing federal laws related to the manufacture, importation, and distribution of firearms and explosives. The ATF is also responsible for investigating arson cases with a federal link, as well as criminal violations of federal laws related to the manufacture, importation, and distribution of alcohol and tobacco. I appreciate the concerns raised by some concerning Mr. Traver's commitment to the Second Amendment, particularly in light of the agency he is nominated to lead. Rest assured, as a United States Senator, I take my constitutional responsibility seriously in carefully examining a nominee's record before casting a vote.

I remain in strong support of congressional efforts to preserve our Second Amendment right to bear arms. Furthermore, I am opposed to actions that infringe on those rights and do not effectively reduce crime and violence. Firearm laws should only be enacted with the intent to punish criminal activity. Rather than chipping away at fundamental liberties backed by the Constitution, we should target the real problem - mainly crime. The best way to combat crime is through solid law enforcement opportunities and education. Throughout my service in the United States Senate, I have consistently voted to strengthen sentences for crimes committed with guns. I have also supported provisions to stop violent crime and remove repeat offenders from the streets.

Again thank you for taking the time to contact me. If you would like more information on issues before the Senate, please visit my website at U.S. Senator Pat Roberts. You may also sign up on my home page for a monthly electronic newsletter that will provide additional updates on my work for Kansas.

With every best wish,

Sincerely,

Pat Roberts
