Jobs Lost...
 

If a ARBan does go into effect. How many jobs are lost?
How many tax dollars and fees are lost to the state?

I ask this as I could not find any guesstamits on just how many. Seriously this has to be an issue at hand as well. This could potentially get more undecideds on the issue in gun owners favor.

It will be bigger then many think it will be.

I was telling my wife yesterday about all the companies that have based their business on accessories for the weapons in question. I told her they will be fine with all the people stocking up on the guns now. But there are only so many accessories you can put on each gun. Then you might get lucky and pick up a military contract or start new product lines.

I wouldn't want to bet my carreer on luck. I also don't think there are too many government contract cards. There are also a lot of home defense style shops that will have to close there doors. Sure Cabelas and others similar should be ok. It's the little people and lots of them that will lose big.

I can't prove this yet, but I'll guess the job loss to be in the neighborhood of 15,000 to 25,000 short term. Tree times that many long term.

I live in new hampshire and know people that work at sig sauer. Last time I was there (about a year ago) they were getting ready to open a new building because production was so high....cant imagine what will happen to just them. Never mind the rest of them in NH . Sad sad sad

I was wondering the same thing. I have brought this fact up with many friends and co workers, on the fence about a possible "AWB" I hope this argument along with other facts helps to sway a few. I also hope these companies are talking to their representatives now to get the point across, before it's too late. Obama and his cronies are moving fast and I hope a resistance to their B.S. ban does the same. I believe a sensible resolution could be achieved if enough voices on both sides are heard.
