Gotta love how the media says "admitted militiaman" like that's a stigma and "implements of destruction". Nope, no bias there....

So did they originally arrest this guy in Hammond,In? I actually grew up in Hammond. I like how they pointed out that he picked up his guns while carrying a gun. Where were they trying to go with that? That they didn't get all his guns?

I'm glad the guy is free and got his stuff back. If they had any real evidence they would have have charged him. What really bothers me are the comments on the link. One guy is amazed that the dude had 40 guns and asked "why would anyone need so many, guys like him abuse the 2nd amendment".

I'm actually quite surprised he got his guns and the ammunition back I remember when this story broke, the Fed's were hyping it up as some great stroke of work under the auspices of the Patriot Act
"see, we stopped home grown terror" - years later, what do they have to say?

Honestly, I think the dude is cuckoo, and possibly could be a little unhinged.
But the point is, he was arrested and charged, and his property was taken. Then he was aquitted and got his property back. Good.

I really cannot believe some of the replies to that article. There is nothing stating how many guns or ammo a person can own, This man didnt own any illegal firearms and has the right to do so even it it was 200 firearms and 500,000 rds . I just dont understand any of this . Its a damn good thing the fed judge had his head on straight because this could have went south on him . Our world is looking at another civil war some day and I hope I am long gone by then .

Indiana has long been a gun-friendly state. However, the media has long been trying to destroy that attitude. Once, a few years ago when I lived in Indianapolis, a local TV station news dingbat read a story about a shooting, then ad lib'd with, "Tsk, tsk, when are they going to do something about the guns?" Well, that same year, "they" did something - they passed the castle doctrine, and a law that said Indiana now honors all CCW's issued by all states.

It's not that simple. Imagine the untold amount of money he had to pay for legal representation and court costs. Wow! It's a money-making machine out there!

Well.... He's on a winning streak it seems. Maybe he could try to get it back.
