I agree with flat on this one. It has basically already been established that a ban isn't going to happen. I'll add that they don't need to take your guns, they're already taking the ammo. Lol

We are a Constitutional Republic and yes, we are a Democracy. What politicians are falling for today is known as "Mob Rule." The founding fathers wrote the constitution to prevent "Mob Rule" from holding sway.

Logistically (tactically?) it would be much easier to lock-up the ammunition plants, than to confiscate the civilian firearms.

You obviously didn't read any of the posts. This thread has been largely hypothetical with a lot of thought and logical points of view in the content. Doesn't seem that anyone is screaming confiscation. It is a simple discussion about how to respond IF it were to happen and how to prevent it.

I live in IDAHO and they are passing laws here that are the complete opposite of what is going on in NY. The next step here is to add the 2nd Amendment to the State Law. The State of Idaho last year voted for the right to never take away hunting rights and now there is talk to write the well armed militia stuff to the Idaho State set of rules. You might have picked the wrong place to live ????
