We're talking about the "shopping" application on google.
It used to be a very powerful tool for finding which stores had something in stock and also doing very thorough and easy price comparisons.

Switching to "bing shopping" now myself...

Try it! Here's a link for bing shopping search on "45 acp 230" which will give an extensive listing of all the stores that have 230 grain 45 acp ammo and you can very quickly find the low price deals listed.

http://www.bing.com/shopping/search?q=45+acp+230&go=&qs=n&form=QBRE&pq=45+acp+2 30&sc=8-10&sp=-1&sk=

Google shopping: http://www.google.com/shopping?hl=en&spons=1&tab=ff

I typed ".45 caliber ammunition" and got back:
Your search - .45 caliber ammunition - did not match any shopping results.

I typed "Ruger 10/22" and got back:
Your search - Ruger 10/22 - did not match any shopping results.

And so on. So...if you want to use Google for search, just do web search, and not Google Shopping. And, by the way, do not click the paid links at the top and right side. Most of the time, you'll see a manufacturer's paid ad at the top of the search, and then right below, the web search results. If you click the ad link, the mfr has to pay Google a fee. Click the search result, and Google gets squat.

Guns? What guns? Oh, I haven't seen those since I left my garage door open one night by mistake.

I added a bookmark to my browser for Bing.com just so I can do my firearms searches. A couple of weeks ago I noticed a change, but just couldn't put my finger on it. I was just wondering why it was so hard to find prices for any guns.

Google is following Amazon. Ubiquity in the marketplace allows one the latitude to push the leadership's progressive agenda. Amazon doesn't sell any gun parts. Holsters, accessories, etc, but no springs, triggers, etc. That's too bad.

I just did a search (using my Amazon toolbar in IE) for Ruger 10/22, and I got 474 results--parts, accessories, etc. Amazon doesn't sell guns, but they do sell accessories. I've bought a number of items for my AR-15 from them or their Marketplace (always using Amazon Prime for free 2-day shipping.)

If there was any doubt that Google's new gun policy was totally politically driven, take a peak at today's news...

http://money.cnn.com/2012/07/08/technology/google-legalize-love/index.htm?source=cnn_bin

No need to discuss this new topic. The point is that google is actively pushing some far-left political agendas all of a sudden. My response is to switch to Bing.

Yep, I think you are correct, sir! I wonder what their exact line is. For sure they don't sell firearms and they don't sell ammo. I guess they sell all other parts...

Didn't like google the first time I found street level pictures of my house on line for the whole world to see.
Total violation of privacy, and a possible boon to stalkers/thieves/robbers/home invaders, etc.

Google also saves your searches, attached to your IP address (and I'm sure other identifiers) for a long time.

So google is not a contributor to the resolution of what I personally see as a problem with privacy and the individual, inalienable right to such (no,its not DIRECTLY in the Bill of Rights, but please read the 9th amendment),rather, google is part of the problem.

So I dropped google.

I now use,and advocate for the use of:

https://ixquick.com/

https://startpage.com/

both are from the same people, both are privacy oriented, with startpage being "google enhanced"- so in effect, you get everything thats good about google -namely the powerful searches- without all the privacy invading crap.

Except for the pictures of your house online.

Those will be there until someone gets a court to make google stop that crap.

Google sucks.

Can you PM me how you found the street level view of your house? I'm curious to see if mine is on there.
