A new bill requiring all young Americans to enlist for federal service.
Does this not sound like anyone else's youth programs?
Thankfully I think it has a very poor chance of going anywhere. But
we as citizens of this Republic need to resist Government intrusion in
to our lives.

I did post this here in the Legal and Activism Forum, for 2 reasons.
1) All members should be made aware of our government encroaching
ever more on out freedoms and liberty.
2) The Second Amendment was written just for this type of tyranny!

This hasn't got a snowball's chance in hell of passing.
It will die in committee. Very few Reps in the house take Rangel seriously.

While I agree with you; we have to be ever vigilant, horrible laws do get
snuck thru and ram-rodded!

Honestly I think he is afraid there are too many conservatives in the
Military and he want to even out the balance.
He has made comment leaning that way in the past, I am paraphrasing,
"...we need a better balance in the Military to be more like a true cross
section of america..."

Now if: Government service was voluntary and the government had to provide the opportunity.
You could not vote unless you completed government service.
You could not vote while in government service.
What was the name of the book/movie that did this?
