I have no Affordable Health Care Act Guns.
All of mine fall under the second amendment.
If my doctor asks, I will begin a conversation with him, starting with. "Oh, are you one of those shooters?"
We'll see how it goes from there, but most likely my answer will be a question. "Are you suggesting that getting a gun my help my sore shoulder? That might be a good idea to try"
I might ask him what caliber he suggests, or what kind of action would be best.

What doctor? I haven't been to a doctor in at least a year and a half, other than my chiropracter.

Lol.... The liberal morons think the NRA has lobbying power... Wait until big pharma realizes millions of Americans aren't going to get psychotropic drugs out of fear of losing their firearms......

I know my doctor would not give me any anti gun lecture. He lives on a farm with some livestock. I'm pretty darned sure he's got a rifle or two himself. To be honest, doctors ask all kind of "life expectancy" questions these days. When the doctor's office I go to (there are several doctors there) got a new computer system my doctor explained he was going to ask me a series of questions for "life expectancy" estimates. Sort of like a poll. Now, I have gone to my doctor since 1986 and he knows every part of me........literally. He is about my age with children the same age as my children. We have discussed divorce, raising children, etc. I saw him at the hospital I worked at quite often. So, he proceeded to ask me if I wear a seat belt whenever I drive. He also asked me if I "prefer men, women or both". He actually blushed at that one. I live in a pretty rural community with plenty of farms and I think the vast majority of people around here own at least one gun or rifle. If my doctor ever asked me if I owned any guns, I'd answer honestly then move on. I don't care what he thinks about me owning any guns.

Few doctors here in Australia apparently have been doing the same thing and quite a few have been told to go and take a flying leap at rolling doughnut. It's none of their business and all legally registered gun owners are on a gun owner's registry anyway that's easily accessible to Police in any case.

Left and right. Caulk and finish nail. Seriously, my doctor has never asked. Seems kind of moot as he is fully aware of what I do for a living.

I'll ask him how many he owns...how there stored...and for his home address...
If he balks I'll remind him that I could just follow him home and find out that way...
When he gets that nervous look on his face I'll laugh and tell him that now he knows how he just made me feel...now does he want to ask that question again? Or just move on?

My Doc is an avid hunter, and has his office decorated accordingly. Nuff said.

It occurs to me that that chiropracter did ask me about firearms once; he was trying to figure out what "Dirty Harry-type revolver" his buddy had let his kids try. I will have to watch him.
