Well I think I need to do a little more research on my state (F.L) because I carry my firearm everywhere except government buildings. Hell look what happen in a movie theatre. I won't risk mine or my wife's life for anyone!

while many of us take our safety and the safety of our loved ones seriously, we as responsible gun owners don't condone or endorse breaking the law, as this is more detrimental to our gun rights. we simply choose not to patron establishments that are un-gun friendly. in other words we vote with our wallet!

do you expect others to respect your rights and wishes on your own property? why not respect anothers right in the course of their business? what if someone felt the way you do and decided they could wahtever they wanted to on your own property? please think about the rights and wishes of others, if you want them to respect yours.

Just as I can tell you to leave my house for whatever reason I choose, so can a business. But I guess you get that.

And odds are he told them why he wouldn't be going back there which is exactly what I would of done.

Under Florida law, if a premise has a sign that restricts possession of firearms in that building you could be arrested for trespass. If there is a human being in that building, that and the fact that you are carrying a firearm makes it a third degree felony. This is not a firearms violation, but the presence of a firearm enhances the charge and the penalty. If you are charged and convicted you can say bye bye to your right to keep and bear arms. The owner or his employees are under no obligation to ask you to leave. All they need to do is call the police and wait for the excitement. Is this a likely event? Probably not, but I'm not willing to take the risk. I will respect the rights of the property owner and either comply or boycott the business.

Coincidentally, I have never been in a Florida Hooters that restricts concealed carry.

I and some friends used to frequent one 15 or so years ago. Anyway we almost always ended up with a waitress whom we would refer to as m&m because it looked like that's what she had for hooters. Friendly girl and all, but dang, shouldn't it be a prerequisite that you have some to work there?

If you're carrying "concealed" no one should be able to tell you're carrying unless you're trying to make some kind of political statement by making sure someone does see it. People who are serious and responsible about PERSEC keep it hidden and keep quiet about it because it's tactically advantageous not to draw attention to the fact that you are armed.

I go where I please. No one will give me an armed escort back to the parking lot. So I carry respectfully, and neither am upset or excited by signs, which I do in fact ignore. As far as banks go, I carry; as far as Post Office, I carry; theatres, restaurants, malls, and dark alleys, I carry. However I do not carry in school, police stations, courts, or in sterile areas of airport. I carry because criminals either can't read or give a damn about taking lives.
