Default Honest mistake' leads to Philly mother facing three years on gun charge

Shaneen Allen, 27, was pulled over in New Jersey’s Atlantic County after making an unsafe lane change in the early morning hours of Oct. 1. Allen then told the officer that she had the .380 Bersa Thunder handgun, as well as a concealed carry permit in Pennsylvania, unaware that her permit was not transferable to The Garden State

She was honest and yet still gets treated as a criminal.

The firearm was purchased after she was robbed not once but twice...

What a scary country we are turning into.

No way is this arrest legal or allowed for under OUR Constitution. All measures should be made to get her and family out of this East Germany. No governor nor Law Enforcement Agency should regard any Un Constitutional conviction as legal or binding or in effect. Our Governors and Legislators need to make Laws, if that is what it taakes, but is not required that our States will not observe nor honor any Un Constitutional conviction in any other state or by Federals.
We need to be fighting for our Republic and OUR Constitution by getting our Conservative Governors and Legislators in the fight to stop assaults on Liberties and Rights at our state borders and beyond. The national Associations of Governors, needs to be a conservative organization. The few liberal/socialist or other wise among them should be shunned. Our States need to be fighting for our Freedoms and Rights in all states and against all instigators and criminals like Bloomberg, who sent his agents, into other states, to entrap Law abiding legal Firearms Dealers and Citizens. To date they have not stood trial or spent a day in jail. Why Tennessee's Governor and attorney General and Virginia, and NC and Others have not brought him and those agents and others to justice is not understandable. No one is fighting for our Rights. But there are Several fighting to take them away.

If Allen is ever convicted, Gov Christie will commute her sentence.

This thread won't last long unless you have it moved to Politics.

Yep, it's a bad situation for the lady, no doubt about that. However, i can't believe that her instructor never told her that some states that do not allow concealed carry. Out here in far away OK the CCW instructors tell folks to check on concealed carry reciprocity before traveling.

That sorry NJ law has been ruled constitutional by federal courts. "States rights" and and all that stuff, you know.

I always check for reciprocity before I travel. It is our responsibility to know the law.
