the first step in destroying a nation is to divide its people.

I agree.

Bias; sensationalism, partisanship, religionism (yes there is such a word), racism, sexism, and even "lookism" plays a big role and it doesn't take much to get swayed on one side or the other. It is not always bad to lean one way or another as long as we remain objective and not go to the extreme.

Main thing is to RESPECT others, be their belief is different from ours (as long as they do not hurt or endanger us).

I hope everyone slow down a bit and look inward...see if they are helping or just fueling spread of hatred.

While I agree that tolerance must be practiced, I believe that at some point, a line is crossed. We must stand for something or we fail as a people and as a Nation.

Love and peace and tolerance are wonderful things, desirable things. But everything has a season.

Good Guess, You have hit the nail right on the head. First off Nobody who refuses to place a hand over their heart whilst the Pledge is being spoken gets any respect from me. I just hope there will be anything left of this country when we do get it back.

Default'he White House will be adorned by a downright moron.'

"As democracy is perfected, the office of president represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron."
H.L. Mencken (1880 - 1956)

(He died not knowing how truly prophetic his statement was)

I've heard allot pf people talking about how something needs to be done to turn back the tide of destruction of our nation. I have been one of those voices. Seems that's all we do is talk. We also have been so indoctrinated to practice tolerance that I wonder if we'll take action even at the cost of losing our freedom. Glenn Beck tells us not to resort to violence. He says that's what the libs want, he may very well be right. Was it not violent that day on the Concord bridge when the patriots shot and killed the British? Are those brave men burning in hell today because they didn't practice tolerance? Was what the founders proposed wrong? I think most of us would all answer the same on these points. Freedom, as history proves, has ultimately come about because someone took a stand and not from diplomacy.

Jim, I believe that there are some things that aren't suitable for publication on the interwebz.

We talk about many things here and we do our best to be politically active and aware. We also contribute financially where and when we can to the appropriate causes, organizations and people.

We are doing our best in difficult times to effect change through the electoral process.

I leave you with this, one of my favorite quotes:

"America is at that awkward stage. It's too late to work within the system and too soon to shoot the bastards." ...Claire Wolf

You've got to stand for something or you'll fall for anything.

I always liked that song, but I never knew how true those words were until now. If this does come down to revolution, me and my .45 will be there.

You are right about somethings not being suitable for the internet. They are after all watching.

Your last quote does a great job of summing it up.
