Default Harry Reid is not in a hurry

It looks like Harry Reid is not going to rush through some feel-good legislation restricting gun rights.

Of course not...he'll just write another letter promising to turn over Constitutional authority to Obama...a power he does not have by the way, no branch of government can assume or cede its constitutional authority from/to another.

Idunno about all that. Congress already ceded most of its authority in the past with the creation of executive level agencies that can write arbitrary rules that have the force of law.

Bear in mind that Harry Reid has historically been very strong on the 2A,
That's why the NRA endorsed him. And he also knows that if the NRA opposes him in the next election, he will lose.

Harry will pay lip service to Osama, but I'll just betcha he doesn't do anything.

Harry said that he would not back any gun bills that would not pass the House. Hell, that is hide in plain sight Harry. Ole Harry knows the Republican House is not going to accept a Senate gun ban. So Obama has no support from his party.
Obama is a Lame Duck or a Retarded Goose he is in deep water.

Anyone paying attention to Reid's last election should be clear on the lengths he will go to stay in power. He is not going to risk that power going against the NRA.

Sadly, I have no respect for the man but I was counting on him to be on our side in this fight. He's really on his own side, but you go to war with the army you have.

I don't think that Reid is going to stick his neck out on something that is starting to look like it is going to be dead on arrival in congress.

Where are all those Pro-Obama Post here on the Forum? We have had many Obama defenders until the past two weeks? The fact is this plan Obama is presenting has been prepared some time back. The 19 Point end run around the Bill Of Rights was taken from a drawer. Obama does not have the support from congress. Harry Reid will not support him. That is why he is going the Ala Stalin route.

Agree, they have been waiting for the right tragedy. Aurora was too close to the election.
