Handgun lasers and mag capacity laws in Illinois
I am interested in getting a cheap laser pointer for my Hi-Point .45ap pistol. Does anybody know if they are legal in Illinois? I have heard both ways, have talked to a local cop and he said he's not sure himself if they legal or not. I've researched Illinois laws and I couldn't find any mention on if lasers were legal or not. Also not that I can get one for my hi-point but I am interested in buying a Glock and I know they make hi-capacity mags for them. So the question on that is, is there a law in Illinois that restricts the maximum capacity of a mag? Any help with those 2 laws would be greatly appreciated as I have heard both ways on the laws and the cop I talked to wasn't able to give me any help.

My local gun shops sell lasers. I can buy 16-17 round mags off the shelf also. I have never heard of any mag restrictions in Illinois. Buy them while you can. It's one of those things they are always trying to restrict.
