Actually, The War of 1812 was a 32 month military conflict between the United States and the British Empire and their allies which resulted in no territorial change, but a resolution of many issues remaining from the American War of Independence. The United States declared war in 1812 for several reasons, including trade restrictions brought about by Britain's ongoing war with France, the impressment of American merchant sailors into the Royal Navy, British support of American Indian tribes against American expansion, outrage over insults to national honor after humiliations on the high seas, and possible American desire to annex Canada. And results via history books…
-Status quo ante bellum with no boundary changes;
-US invasions of British Canada repulsed; two of three British incursions into US territory repulsed: military stalemate
-Successful Royal Navy blockade of the US coastline; significant pressure on American economy; British and American merchants call for treaty negotiations
-Defeat of Tecumseh's Indian confederacy; end of plans for independent Indian state

I think there should be a world wide ban on maple syrup.
Diabetes kills more people every year than guns and maple syrup is chock full of carbs and sugar. Two of the leading causes of diabetes.

Here's to the President against military assault rifles in the hands of civilians.

When did anyone burn the home of the American President? They set fire to the home in a rain storm. That was a real smart move. The home was not the White House when it was damaged by Redcoats on the run.
The idiot British Army was wiped out by a rain storm trying to get to their ships. Their Lord Packinham got his butt kicked by a bunch of squirell hunters from Kentucky at New Orleans.
And Oh yes, the Presidents home then became the White House due to the white wash used to cover the damaged from the failed fire.

That's all false information tex, dunno where you got that biased information but the first presidential house was smaller than the current one and was actually pinkish because of the stone used to build it. The didn't raid in a storm but marched by land from Lower Canada (present day Quebec) and the White House was sacked which means it 'twas burnt to the ground and there were no marines or American army to stop the red coats either surprisingly.

Don't know why you're wanting a ban on a product made in the US. Wanna explain or shall I speculate some more?
