I'll let you know as soon as I'm up and running fully operational and find out what kind of wholesale prices I can get.

lol, thanks for the offer. It may have to wait until next (2013) August though. I can't buy a handgun through a store yet because our Government thinks that anyone under 21 is a gang banger, and that the 3 years between 18 and 21 will make a huge difference.
I can only buy one through a private sell within the state of Texas. I'm just looking right now anyways. I have a job, but get paid very little (minimum wage, and I can only work a max of 19 hrs per week) (In case your wondering why, I work at my college through a federal work study program). By the time I turn 21, I should hopefully have a better paying job.
As far as polymer vs wood and steel, it doesn't make too much of a difference to me. Ive shot a XD9 before, and that thing is sweet. Ive never held a M&P though.
At first, I looked at Glock because I thought their guns were priced cheap, well, the new g31 .357 sig runs about $600-$700. The XDs come in 357 sig don't they? IIRC, they run about $500 used don't they?

What anyone under 21 isn't a gang banger? I'll be damned. Yep you can get the XDs in 357 sig and you can get the XDs in 357 new for 500 depending on what bells and whistles you want. By the time you are ready for a handgun though the XDS model will be king and those are supposed to be really sweet.

XDS? Sounds cool. How are they different from the xd?

I have never been into bells and wistles on most guns. I want basiaclly just the plain gun, with a good set of sights (I wouldn't mind night sights though.)

Mostly what is will be used for is a range gun (and possibly for HD to). I have something else picked out for a ccw (Leaning torwrds a Ruger Police Service Six 357 mag, or a S&W 19-5 .357 mag)

Night sites are a definite in my book the XDs is a Single Stack .45 that is 4.5 inches tall and 6.5 inches long and about an inch thick I believe. It was at the SHOT show and from what I read about it and seen pictures of it looks like it's going to be a nice CCP.

Glock if you want...I owned one for some time (G23) until i held a M&P. 45 with the large back strap (never knew they had different back straps) and then I understood my folly. The Glocks felt and looked cheaply made in compairison after that and that was the day I sold the Glock and bought the M&P!
