I state we ARE the People. We're just the group that pushes and fights for those rights, but again, it comes down to it's everyone's rights. We're just the ones that are vocal about it.

The reason I like ARE instead of OF? Of, in a semantic concept, indicates that we're nothing unique or special. That the politicians are still in command.
ARE indicates we know damn good and well that they work for US, and we're going to do our best to make sure that the rest of the citizenry knows this and starts holding our 'employees' accountable for their actions.
Hey, you guys elected me secretary, that means I have to read it.
