I read a quote the other day that said 7 of 8 jobs created under the current President are part time. Most likely more then that are part time here in Florida. I do know way too many people that are working two or three part time jobs.

You are right, and the middle class is shrinking. Also, all too many of the middle class are Boomers like me. When we retire will our jobs be available to younger people at the salary range that we have? That I believe will be a heavily debated question. Where I work, they are dumbing the jobs down, and I don't believe many will get to the level I am until inflation takes them there.

Nashville?
Nashville has a lot of skilled employees who are familiar with the weapons industry. Ronnie Barrett's Plant is in Murfreesboro which is just outside of Nashville. And Manroy who now owns and operates their weapon manufacturing plant is there which previously was the old Sabre Defence Industries weapon manufacturing plant in Nashville. And other weapon and military contractors are in the area. And as stated, it is just down the road less than two and a half hours South of their plant in Kentucky. So it would make perfect sense for them to relocate in Nashville just off of I-40 & just East of I-65 for easy access. Not to mention most all of our Senators and Congressmen are very pro Second Amendment. And some are members of the NRA!
So come on down to Tennessee! We are true Americans and Pro Second Amendment. And property tax is more than reasonable and with no state income tax. And the door is open to Remington and any other manufacturer or business in the weapons business. Sc**w the politicians in NY, CT, CAL and other socialist states! I do have sympathy for the poor folks the politicians are working hard to eliminate their jobs. Of course if they are pro gun join the company in Tennessee if they move. Your income will go a lot farther! For an example property tax on a 3200 sq foot home 11 acres, 30X24 Office and storage garage and a 60X24 Storage Garage and 15X24 workshop attached and two lake views is $1600 per year. A friend of mine pays about $5000 a year in Illinois for his home and one acre. Kind of like NY and other states where the crooked politicians continue to fleece the public! With all that said Tennessee is a great state to live in. And scenic also. And you can have a Coke as large as you want!

Take a good look at Detroit. That is the future of America unless wages allow for a middle class.
Wait, if unions are so good why is Detroit the way it is? Don't get me wrong, I'm a union member myself.

Unions help create a balance. Not everybody should be in a union, but that doesn't mean nobody should be in a union either. Balance is the key. Detroit become too much union, but as stated above, if there are no unions, everybody except a select few will be making almost nothing, regardless of their job.

Hopefully in time to save Remington but we will win even if Remington leaves.
Money speaks volumes and you are losing whole libraries of jobs. Every company that supplies Remington will feel the effects of a move. (From copies, computers, tooling, office supplies, public transit, delivery service, property taxes even down to coffee service and water coolers). If they have 600 employees you will be losing at least 2,000 jobs.

Good Luck, but I think you are whistling in the wind unless upstate NY secedes from Westchester County and all south of there. I was born and brough up in NY state and it is not the place of my childhood where I could ride down main street with my 22 slung over my sholder on the way to hunt woodchucks . . . without attracting a swat team. Now I won't even go back now where I cannot defend myself.

How about some of these gun manufactures that want some freedom, looking at Alachua County FL? We have an empty battery factory just waiting for you. Good work force available. College town. Gun friendly state.

Sorry you are getting hurt, but it appears the good people of NY are getting what they voted for. You should dump (secede) from NY City and its surrounding counties.

True, and they will know who caused their pain and ours, Albanizer Scrooge and his buddies. Other businesses that have escaped NY because of Taxes, Fees and Regulations never did spawn the cause and effects of their exodus to be illuminated, this one cant escape public scrutiny. If its gonna happen, I hope it happens just before the next election. That will make for some interesting "Andy Screwed us" commercials.

Red, The Real State of NY (everything above the Hudson except Albany) is still much the same as you remember. Like you, I carried my saddle gun as a kid like kids today carry their cellphones; riding my bike, walking or just heading to my friends for some plinking.

Those of us left (there are many) wont run from our home state but were gonna make them run! The free state of NY still lives and breaths! While weve temporarily lost some of our rights because of lib-puke districts like NY City and Albany, lost will be found and we will get back what that which they stole from us and more before were done.

WE38 I admire your tenacity and wish you and the rest of NY gun owners the best in your quest for gun freedom. When NY reinstates my NY carry permit (auatomatically cancelled when you move out of the issue county) or honors my Florida permit I will know you have suceeded. I would love to visit my home state once again.

Thanks Red, I served 17 years in the NYARNG, they arent going to chase me out of the state I swore to give my life for nor will I ever accept less rights than I was born with even if its "For Our Own Good" as they like to spout!

They may have won a couple battles using spineless Nazi Mandated rules but we will win the war, its not if, its when. I doubt Remington cares much about our freedoms while they are cashing $1,000,000 checks from Uncle Sugar every week but lets see if they really do, if they stay here under the rules as they are, their just shills for the ruling party.
